Drive By-
April 28 - June 28 at Boulder Library - 1001 Arapaho Ave. Boulder Colorado
featuring works in encaustic and mixed media
Catherine Poppe McNeil
“Drive By” invites the viewer to revisit familiar scenes often captured in haste. By exploring and exchanging between the harsh clarity of first impressions and the obscured beauty of the blurred details we rediscover humanity, pathos and reverence in imagery abstracted from scenes both imminent and further afield.
The work evokes a sense of mystery, homesickness and a reconnection to something outside of the highly fueled pace we keep.
